A native of Edwardsville Illinois, Dr. Moody completed his undergraduate studies at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, and obtained his Doctor of Medical Dentistry from SIU School of Dental Medicine in 2009.

Dr. Moody understands the importance of continuing education, which is why he has gone on to receive hundreds of hours of additional postgraduate training at some of the most renowned dental educational institutions in the country. He received his advanced sedation training through Oregon Health and Science University School of Dentistry in Portland under Dr. Stanley Malamed. In addition to his advanced training in dentistry and anesthesiology, Dr. Moody is dual certified in both CPR (Cardio Pulmonary Recitation) and ACLS (Advanced Cardio Life Support).
